Located in San Francisco, they're currently seeking a Founding Blockchain and Smart Contract Engineer to join their dedicated team.
Role Overview
As a key engineer, you'll:
- Architect and build protocol infrastructure, proxy/interface contracts, and open-source smart contract libraries.
- Build leading-edge blockchain infrastructure, maintaining security, speed, and stability.
- Scope and lead complex technical projects, focusing on readability, security, performance, and scalability.
- Drive standardization in crypto protocols, designing seamless interfaces.
- Maintain top-tier security while building smart contract protocols and backend services.
- Lead by example, developing best practices for EVM protocol upgrades and versioning across networks.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2-4 years of backend development experience.
- 1-2 years of Solidity smart contract development, including mainnet production deployments of non-trivial protocols.
- A background in Computer Science or a technically related field.
- Proficiency with Solidity, Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), browser wallet interfaces, and node RPCs.
- Experience designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining high-traffic smart contracts.
- Familiarity with cutting-edge developer tools, such as Hardhat, Foundry, Solmate, Huff, Ganache, and/or Truffle.
Bonus Points For:
- Familiarity with the web3 frontend stack.
- A balance of shipping quickly with building secure, robust, scalable infrastructure.
- A “can-do” mentality, or being a former founder or having built side projects.
