Intelletec has partnered with a BioTech company that is revolutionizing drug discovery for brain disorders. Founded by professors from Columbia University and UCSF and experienced technologists, they are combining biotechnology, neuroscience, robotics, and machine learning techniques. 

​​They are looking for an Automation Engineer, You will be a core member of our Automation and Assay Development team, providing critical lab automation support to deploy into our organoid culture-and-assay platform (OrCA) and specific disease programs.

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll closely interface with the software/platform team on system design, IQ/OQ/PQ, troubleshooting, and maintenance. 

  • This role will collaborate closely with biology teams to support and improve our automated cell culture, imaging, and compound screening processes. 

  • You will work cross-functionally to help identify gaps and continuously improve on the reliability, robustness, and scalability of these workflows. 

  • You will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of three fields undergoing rapid evolution - complex biology, automation, and machine learning.

Skills:

  • B.S/M.S. in Biology, Engineering or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry

  • Experience with automating biological assays (e.g. qPCR, flow cytometry, high content imaging, etc.) and improving assay throughput

  • Experience in designing, optimizing, implementing, and troubleshooting methods/protocols on liquid handlers (e.g. Hamilton) and integrated systems

  • Experience working with various vendors and independently to expand system capabilities and improve reliability as internal biology demand grows
