Our client is a growing Fintech firm leveraging data science and technology. Nominated for Crain's fastest growing companies in New York and making several appearances on the Inc. 500 list. We are looking for a Manager, Data Science to join their Data and Analytics team.

What You Will Do:

• Lead a team of 2 Data Scientists and collaborate with the business to execute on identified opportunities for deploying machine learning and AI solutions to drive revenue and cost savings.

• Balance leading and directly contributing to the framing, data preparation, development, and documentation of ML and AI models and solutions.

• Partner with the Technology team to test and deploy ML and AI solutions, and in monitoring and managing the health and performance of those solutions in production.

• Support the efforts of the Chief Data and Analytics Officer to ensure our data and solutions are trusted by helping to champion high standards, transparency, and regular communication with the business.

• Explore and test additional data sources that may add value.

• Advise and lead and/or execute simulation and analytics projects.


Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, or physics / Masters preferred

• 5+ years of experience as a data scientist in industry, including leading the development of machine learning models and implementing them into production.

• Experience successfully leading a team.

• Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and open-source machine learning packages, like xgboost.

• Experience with or desire to learn new automated machine learning and related software.

• Flexible and productive in a hybrid remote/in-office arrangement
