Director, Mobile Engineering /350K

Job Description:

A Mobile Engineer Director is needed for a company 80 People Large, and growing extensively. You’ll need a background in scaling mobile technologies specific to Mobile SDK’s and Infrastructure.  This engineering director will oversee a small team of Principal and Senior iOS / Android Developers, and you’ll work mostly hands-off on developing the product roadmap and ensuring the quality of product as the company continues to grow.

 

This engineer should have a background in Android or iOS Development, preferably Android or both! You’ll need a Computer Science degree, and a demonstrated ability to grow teams and launch successful products. You'll also need a critical understanding of Mobile SDK’s and the SDK Layer of Mobile technologies.  Past experience working on or building a SDK is required, as well as recent management experience. Required Skills:

  • Director or Senior Director of Mobile Engineering

  • Hands-On background in Android Development, or Mobile Development

  • Experience with Swift, Kotlin, Java and Objective-C

  • SDK Experience within Mobile Development 

  • Mobile Experience at various layers of application infrastructure

  • Computer Science Degree, or related Mathematical/Science field

  • Ability to work with and lead Senior / Principal-Level Mobile Engineers

  • Management experience; working with high-up management within a small organization

  • Long Term Product roadmap experience 

  • Sound knowledge of Android and iOS SDK Development

  • Experience working at a Startup

  • Knowledge of UX best practices, integrations and more

  • Proven experience managing teams that are building a high-volume product

  • Ability to work remotely from the United States
