What You'll Do:

  • Actively customizing vendor supplied Board Support Package (BSPs), developing Linux device drivers for a variety of peripherals (connected to I2C, SPI, USB, MIPI DSI/CSI, and/or GPIO)
  • Use the Yocto Project build environment to create embedded Linux distributions is required
  • Work on debugging and troubleshooting - be comfortable using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, soldering equipment, and power supplies

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience as an Embedded/Firmware Engineer
  • Experience customizing vendor supplied Board Support Package (BSPs) and bringing up Linux based drivers on custom HW platforms
  • Linux driver, kernel, and networking stack experience - Essential
  • Experience using Yocto Project build environment to create embedded Linux distribution
  • Experience writing device drivers for peripherals (I2C, SPI, USB, MIPI DSI/CSI, GPIO, etc)
  • Experience implementing and/or modifying bootloaders (uBoot)
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills (for board bring up and driver testing process)
