Head of Marketing - Fintech


My client is a diverse, woman-led fintech company dedicated to helping small business owners thrive. Their platform has been well received by their first customers and they're now ready to continue to expand our reach and product.

The Role

My client is looking for a head of Marketing (VP or Manager level) to lead their marketing initiatives and take their user growth to the next level. This person will be a leadership team member and be responsible for all things related to branding, community building, paid and unpaid growth through digital channels.

Who You Are

  • You’re as excited about our mission to financially lift community businesses as we are
  • Build community around dedicated and loyal customers and would-be customers
  • You are experienced at delivering in a fast-paced, nebulous environments
  • At least 5 years hand-ons experience in content, product, and digital
  • Experience working in a remote team environment
  • Background of success in marketing products for small businesses or entrepreneurs
  • Familiarity with payments/fintech preferably in dual-sided B2B2C products
  • Proven success leading growth in an early-to-growth stages
  • Successful track record of building and managing teams to meet objectives

What You’ll Do

  • Be intimately familiar with our customers, competitors, and users
  • Nurture and continue to build a community engaged in our content
  • Determine channels, customer segments, and messaging
  • Create systems and funnels that drive digital conversion through online environments
  • Manage a team of existing and new subject matter expert vendors in PR, social media, paid ads, paid search, SEO, and other content
  • Demonstrate progress through setting and reaching quantitative and qualitative objectives
  • Develop, articulate, and evangelize a growth vision and strategy
  • Align marketing metrics with organizational objectives and manage to those objectives
  • Understand & leverage the latest technology tools to build effectively
  • Be an active participant in managing the brand & message consistency
  • Instill and embody values of inclusiveness, transparent communication, value alignment, and upward mobility throughout the growth group
  • Build and maintain a customer-first culture
