We are working with one of the leaders in financial data monitoring, and they are currently looking to grow their team of 44 engineers to 80 in the next year.

Our client is a well-established and growing Fintech Startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their company's operating system protects businesses from threats by adversaries by monitoring and detecting money laundering, fraud, and other sophisticated risks across various industries.

 

They have over $100B+ of Financial Activity that is monitored by their system - nearly 2 million transactions per second from their customers are ingested and then analyzed and assessed in a performant manner. As a Backend Engineer, you will work on a wide-variety of projects to improve the system and ease of use for non-technical users.

Role:

  • You will work on a variety of projects to improve the operating system and ease of use for non-technical users

  • You may work on a DSL to make creation of disparate-detection models performant

  • You may set up and implement a new data store to help with pre-computation of the system

  • Create improvements in the data ingestion process to increase efficiency in performance by sub-seconds

 

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field

  • A minimum of 3+ years of full-time Backend Engineer experience

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages - Python, Java, Scala, C#, etc.

  • Proficiency in one or more of RDBMS, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, etc.

  • Proficiency with data modelling and performant data access strategies

  • Proficiency with API design and optimization
