Intelletec is partnering with a dynamic data analytics start-up focused on revolutionizing commercial auto insurance pricing and underwriting. We are actively searching for a talented Senior Data Scientist to join as a founding member and contribute to the development of cutting-edge pricing and underwriting algorithms.
This is a fully remote position open to candidates residing in the EST or CST time zones exclusively.
Role:
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of data science and predictive analytics.
- Demonstrate at least 1 year of experience in developing and implementing GLM, GAM, or similar models.
- Showcase proficiency in either R or Python, with a minimum of 2 years of practical experience.
- Exhibit strong skills in SQL, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience.
- Utilize Python or R for statistical modeling.
- Display expertise in working with geospatial data.
- Show familiarity with insurance products, particularly in the auto insurance and transportation sector.
- Hold an advanced degree (preferred).
- Previous start-up experience is considered a plus.
Required Experience:
- Apply data science techniques and modeling to address diverse pricing and underwriting opportunities.
- Possess essential experience in the auto insurance industry.
- Collaborate closely with team members from various departments to transform data into robust models.
- Conduct thorough data audits and enhance the quality of models by improving data integrity.
- Contribute to refining the product architecture.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members.
- Foster collaboration with both technical and non-technical personnel within the organization.
