Senior Data Scientist-Remote

Well funded Series A SaaS firm is looking for their founding Senior Data Scientist, reporting into the Head of Data, to develop actionable insights that drive product strategy. You will be collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive key decisions and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, intellectually curious, and a clear communicator.

Your Responsibilities

• Create actionable user behavior insights that will influence product development and strategy
• Build and scale our experimentation platform to measure impact of new features
• Design and develop product metrics (OKRs), create insightful automated dashboards and data visualizations to track progress
• Automate analyses and data pipelines while building scalable data infrastructure
• Be a thought partner to Product Managers, Designers and Engineers

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in a data science or analytics
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to synthesize insights into compelling stories
• Experience designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests, with a strong understanding of statistics
• Good product and business sense
• Expert in SQL - able to write structured and efficient queries on large data sets
• Experience with a statistical scripting language (e.g. R or Python)
• Working knowledge of Unix command line and git
• Experience with a BI tool (e.g. Mode, Metabase, Looker)
• Experience with ETL tools such as DBT or Airflow is a plus
• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a quantitative field
