We’re seeking an exceptional senior product designer to join our fintech client's growing design team! Come collaborate with a passionate, supportive team dedicated to improving the lives of homeowners and home buyers across the nation. In this role, you’ll be researching new customer types for new product lines, improving our funnel conversion, and bringing a fresh eye to internal underwriting tools. Role Responsibilities:

  • Take complex ideas and present them in a simple way to an end-user (homeowners/homebuyers)
  • Attention to detail
  • Create efficient, easy to use software for internal clients
  • Conducting interviews with internal and external clients to understand their needs
  • Analyzing user trends in relation to products
  • Conduct user testing to assess the effectiveness of products
  • Customer education and user experience
  • Clarity of product details
  • UX copywriting-write clear, concise information. Relatable writing
  • Conveying designs and creating presentations for cross-functional collaboration including executive audience (don't make it feel stuffy)
  • Wireframe (blueprints for designs)
  • Translate research findings into clear user flows
  • Command of hierarchy and layout and able to recognize good layout
  • Customer psychology, how they make decisions, content order

Years of Experience: 

  • 5-10+
  • Looking for impact on projects & a strong portfolio that is free of errors

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • You’re experienced in conducting user research and interviews. You can synthesize your findings in powerfully communicative mediums including personas, storyboards, and customer journeys that align and unite the larger team.
  • You have an intuitive sense for designs that work and make sense to the end user, but you’re always willing to get outside yourself and listen to the data.
  • Your empathy doesn’t stop at the customer—you strive to understand your teammates’ perspectives and goals and you’re considerate when delivering feedback.
  • You’re obsessed with the details. You’ll pour yourself into whatever work you do, whether that’s a final design, written document, or developer spec.
  • You’re an articulate communicator able to challenge assumptions and persuasively evangelize your ideas.
  • You’re a clever visual storyteller with a well-developed eye for layout, hierarchy, color, and typography.
  • You’re pragmatic—you understand that development timelines and business requirements often require creative compromises.

Also important:

  • Strong design portfolio
  • 7+ years of experience designing consumer products
  • Fintech experience helpful, but not required
