We are seeking a seasoned UX and data evangelist to take on the role of crafting a rich, empowering reporting experience within the Reporting suite of APM. This person should have 5+ years of experience in product design and development – specializing in visual reporting, information design, and complex data. If qualified, apply today!

What will you do:

  • Own the look, feel, and experience company's entire Reporting Suite – from how a user interacts with their data to how that data is presented to them. You will be the architect of one of the most critical and most used areas of the product.
  • Work closely with a seasoned development team to craft a best-in-class consumer experience within the Information Layers space.
  • Learn the constraints of the software, and how to properly push against them to propel our user experience forward.
  • Work iteratively and with a highly critical eye for detail – this is a high risk space and needs long term design ownership to ensure success.
  • Obsessively learn the product, our users, and their needs to craft the experience of the Information Layers space.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A design leader passionate about crafting best-in-class reporting solutions that are entwined with complex technical constraints.
  • A strategic UX partner looking to grow their long term investment on a stacked development team in the Information Layers space.
  • A fearless customer advocate, who constantly seeks out ways of improving the lives of our users strategically and proactively.
  • A product designer who understands the complexities and nuances of large scale SaaS products, especially in regard to reporting, data, and information layers.
  • A disrupter who follows a personal philosophy of challenging assumptions and constantly asking the question, “what could this experience be that it isn’t today”?
  • A technical whiz who is comfortable working in the boundaries of APM’s complex tech stack, and who can understand and advocate for the best UX within those technical boundaries.
  • An experiential advocate who utilizes UX best practices in regards to data displays and information design.
  • A data champion with both an insatiable hunger for crafting clear, accessible, and technically savvy reporting UIs AND the ability to make focused design decisions from data.
  • A nimble teammate with experience working on Agile product teams and crafting iterative, fast solutions to complex data problems.
  • An empath who is passionate about the property management industry, and specifically about making data and reports easier to use, more accessible, and highly intelligent.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a UI, UX, or Product Designer with long term investment in a single product area or focus (ideally, data viz and reporting related).
  • Proficiency with best-in-class design and documentation tools (ie, Figma, Coda, Storybook).
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineers and other designers.
  • Experience not only performing user research and collecting data to make decisions – but also presenting those decisions to the larger organization seamlessly and enthusiastically.
  • A keen eye for design improvements and visual detail.
  • A stunning portfolio or collection of past work that relates to this job’s requirements.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills: both synchronously and asynchronously.

Bonus qualifications:

  • Experience with designing large scale enterprise web applications focused in Real Estate or Property Tech.
  • Expertise collecting user metrics and analyzing user sessions (e.g. Amplitude, Heap, Mixpanel).
  • Experience with front-end web development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
  • Strong interaction design skills and interest.
