 Our leading healthcare client are rapidly growing their PBM teams and are seeking a Solution Strategist to join and are open to a number of locations including New York, Chicago, or Rhode Island.

The role:

  • This individual will act as a single point of contact for analytics for a second organization, understanding current business needs and priorities and translating them into analytic action plans and deliverables.

  • You will be able to communicate and build solutions with both the analytics team and the business partners. The individual should be able to liaison with Business Partners to understand their requirements & translate into analytical solutions and also translate analytics problems to non-analytical audiences. In addition to this, you will be able to partner with data strategy and reporting analytic groups to ensure that necessary program data are available for analysis and that the required client reporting tools (opportunity analyses and outcomes reporting) are prioritized and are built upon an appropriate and consistent methodology

  • You will learn and understand the UM programs and processes and the underlying data to structure and deliver analytics to help identify program improvement opportunities and additional sources of value.


  • Basic analytical skillset does not need to have advanced DS experience.

  • Ability to pull data, structure analytics, measure methodologies and impact

  • Ability to manage and deliver Projects- however, this is not  a traditional project management role

  • Ability to not just build a solution but also execute it – depending upon the background, for ex, if the candidate has Tableau/ data visualization skills they can be used in that capacity.

  • Experience in Health Care – PBM/UM/Specialty drug/Managed Care

  • Claims data experience – this is must

  • SQL is a must while the candidate can have modelling experience using any of the technologies like R or Hadoop or Python ( SAS was earlier used in the team but now no one uses it).

  • Master’s degree plus substantial work exp – this is not a role for a fresh graduate or someone in the early career stage

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Projects  - Analyzing programs/improving efficiency of programs/speciality drugs

  • The team is not looking for people/team managers, but the role can grow into a management role in the future

  • OM doesn’t like DS looking for ML/Modeling work or people with just descriptive statistics/informatics type work.
