Our financial services client partners with leading retirement plan providers to give retirees a personalized plan to draw on their retirement assets, based on their financial details and preferences and they're looking to bring on a VP of Operations to oversee their growing team. Responsibilities: 

● Reporting to the CEO you will oversee daily operations of the company, with focus on corporate functions, such as HR, finances, record keeping and compliance 

● Own the strategic direction of the firm’s operations, including setting goals for sustainable growth of staff and operations and for improvement of procedures and processes 

● Lead and build a top-performing team to drive the achievement of set-forth goals and objectives 

● Manage the Firm’s quarterly and annual budgeting process and P&L responsibilities 

● Lead and oversee human resources processes, including onboarding, reviewing and payroll 

● Identify training needs and ensure proper training is developed and provided 

● Manage corporate level processes, such as accounting, bookkeeping, compliance and legal using internal and outsourced resources 

● Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems 

● Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources

Knowledge and Skill Requirements: 

● The Vice President, Operations will possess excellent subject matter expertise to meet the needs of the company 

● At least 5 years in management of operations with experience effectively leading teams through a rapidly changing business environment 

● Managed operations in a startup environment; Managing hybrid-remote work operations is a plus 

● Oversaw corporate finance processes, such as tax preparation, banking relationships, insurance and investor relations, internally or through outsourcing 

● Worked with legal and compliance on issues such as employment related matters, user contracts and vendor agreements; Familiarity with legal/compliance issues specific to FinTech/Financial Services is a plus 

● Profit and loss/budgeting experience 

● Experience working with Payroll / HR Solutions service providers, preferably cloud-based, like TriNet 

● Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence key stakeholders as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive breakthrough solutions 

● Analytical problem-solving skills, will do/won’t quit attitude and work ethic 

● Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement 

● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a proficiency to present complex business issues 

● Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver quantifiable, measurable results
