Overview:
Seeking an engineer proficient in Windows software development and systems administration to join its Platform Engineering team. This is a hands-on, technical role on a cross-platform engineering team that’s responsible for core technology infrastructure in an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging working environment.
What you’ll day-to-day:
Platform Engineering designs and maintains the firm's operating systems, authentication systems, databases, virtualization infrastructure, core network services, and messaging and endpoints on Windows and Linux in both our internal- and external-facing environments. This engineer will be tasked with the design, implementation, and integration of infrastructure systems, particularly—though not exclusively—on Windows-based systems.
Who they’re looking for:
•Candidates should have a degree in computer science (or another technical discipline) or comparable work experience.
•Significant Windows software development and systems automation experience is required.Experience with C# or PowerShell is preferred; experience with Python and Rust is beneficial.
•An in-depth understanding of the Windows platform and related technologies (e.g., ActiveDirectory and Failover Clustering) is required.
•Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with a variety of tracing tools (e.g., WireShark, ETW, and ProcMon).
•Experience with common Windows Server applications and management tools (e.g., Exchange, SQL, SCCM,Hyper-V, and ADFS, etc.)
•Experience integrating systems across on-premises and cloud-based environments(e.g., Azure, AWS, and GCP) and working with containers on Windows and Linux is preferred.
