Our client, a company delivering large scale compute infrastructure for AI, is looking for a Construction Safety Manager.They acquire power, design and build data centers and operate them, with teams spanning hardware and software, and are focused on delivering tens to hundreds of gigawatts of compute faster than anyone else. This role is the owner's representative and safety authority embedded in active major construction projects, managing GCs and EPCs directly across heavy civil and data center builds. Current assignments are in Lubbock and Abernathy, Texas, moving to the next capital project as those complete, with travel around 50%. Reports to the HSE Director with authority to stop work and escalate to ownership. Compensation is $154K to $186K plus equity.Role & Responsibilities:- Act as the safety authority on active construction sites, holding GCs and EPCs accountable on HSE matters- Review and approve or reject contractor safety plans, site specific programmes and high risk activity submissions- Own the high risk activity review process across complex, concurrent construction environments- Lead incident investigations and give leadership clear visibility of what is actually happening on site- Exercise stop work authority and issue owner level directives where standards are not met- Protect the owner's interests across multiple concurrent projects and capital programmesSkills & Experience:- Substantial construction HSE experience on major projects, ideally heavy civil and data center builds- Experience working owner side, or as an owner's representative, holding tier one contractors to account- Strong command of high risk activity review, permitting and incident investigation- Credible in the field with contractors, executives and frontline crews alike- Willing to travel approximately 50% and relocate between capital projects, currently in West Texas- Bonus: Texas construction workforce experience and familiarity with Avetta, ISNetworld or PEC
