Senior/Staff Software Engineer

Series B mental health provider

Our client, transforming care for people living with severe mental illness, is looking for a Senior or Staff Full Stack Software Engineer in New York.They have pioneered an outpatient care model combining in-person psychiatric care with comprehensive wraparound support, delivered by integrated teams of psychiatrists, therapists, primary care physicians, health coaches and peer support specialists. They are a Series B venture backed Public Benefit Corporation working in partnership with several of the nation's leading academic medical centres and health systems, with a team drawn from well known healthcare and technology companies. Compensation is $175,000 to $220,000 plus equity.Role & Responsibilities:- Design, develop and ship full stack web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript and Node.js- Architect, implement and maintain APIs and backend services powering clinical and patient facing experiences- Help build and scale the patient and clinic facing technology platform- Shape how patients and families access precision psychiatry services- Work across the full product lifecycle from concept through implementation, deployment and iteration- Mentor peers, raise engineering standards and hold code quality across the stackSkills & Experience:- Senior or staff level full stack engineer comfortable across traditional best practice and AI native development- Strong Next.js, React, TypeScript and Node.js experience- Equally comfortable prototyping interfaces and optimising API performance- Genuine care for usability, reliability and maintainability- Mission driven, motivated by healthcare innovation and improving mental health outcomes- Energised by the pace of early stage work, with a track record of mentoring and raising standards
