Our client, a leading conversational AI platform, is looking for a Customer Engineer to join their Agent Builder organisation, based in New York or San Francisco.Their technology lets industry defining enterprises deploy AI agents that power personalised interactions across voice, chat, email, SMS and every other channel, and they are backed by a group of the best known venture investors in the market. Enterprise grade agents need hands on execution, rigorous iteration and deep technical delivery, so they have built a specialised technical delivery team that owns end to end agent builds. This role owns implementation for strategic customers. In office. Compensation is $175K to $230K plus equity.Role & Responsibilities:- Own end to end execution of AI agent builds for strategic enterprise customers- Write and configure key agent components, validate integrations and ensure agents perform reliably at scale- Partner with customers and internal teams to define success and translate requirements into build plans- Interface with senior technical stakeholders on the customer side throughout delivery- Test, validate and iterate builds to reach enterprise grade performance- Feed customer insight back into the product roadmapSkills & Experience:- 5+ years in a technical customer facing role such as solutions engineering, forward deployed engineering, technical consulting or implementation engineering- Strong technical foundation, comfortable writing code, working with APIs and validating integrations end to end- Experience delivering production grade customer solutions with structured execution, testing and iteration- Clear communication with senior technical stakeholders, translating requirements into implementation plans- Comfort in fast moving, ambiguous environments, shaping solutions as much as implementing them- Even better: LLM and agent build experience across prompting, evaluation, guardrails and tooling, plus enterprise SaaS integrations
