Our client, an AI powered brand protection platform for eCommerce brands, is looking for a Founding Engineer in New York.They find fake and copycat product listings online and submit DMCA takedowns to enforce the IP of eCommerce brands. The business is bootstrapped, less than a year old and already at a healthy seven figures in ARR, with a core team that includes a previously exited eCommerce founder and the founder of a software consultancy. They are hiring another founding engineer to accelerate growth. Compensation is $140,000 to $180,000 plus equity of up to 1%, five days onsite in NYC.Role & Responsibilities:- Own the product end to end rather than contributing to someone else's roadmap- Ship zero to one features without waiting on approvals- Make sound system design decisions as the platform scales- Build and improve the detection and takedown workflow behind the product- Use AI tools aggressively to multiply your output and move at speed- Help shape engineering standards and culture as one of the first engineersSkills & Experience:- 2+ years of software engineering experience- Proven zero to one shipping record, ideally at an early stage startup- Strong system design judgement without over engineering- Heavy, fluent use of AI development tools as part of your daily workflow- High ownership mentality and comfort with ambiguity- Based in New York City and happy working onsite five days a week
