Our client, a Series A AI company working on mission critical government workflows, is looking for a cleared Operations Strategist in New York.Their platform applies LLMs and other models to document centric compliance, security and search workflows for the DoD, civil agencies and commercial organisations. This role sits at the intersection of company operations and program management: first responder when things go wrong, process architect when things are going right, and a steady thought partner throughout. Base salary is $120,000 to $160,000 plus significant equity, with candidates holding an active TS or TS/SCI clearance eligible at the higher end.Role & Responsibilities:- Own multiple concurrent workstreams across company operations and program management- Build lightweight processes that reduce friction and free teammates to focus on their highest value work- Partner with internal, legal and government teams on security related contract preparation, submissions and compliance tracking- Identify internal and external experts to support security needs and manage vendor engagements- Engage substantively with engineers on technical trade offs, timing implications and risk profiles- Cultivate an AI first mentality, using LLMs to automate and augment internal processesSkills & Experience:- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher required at time of hire, and US citizenship required under ITAR and EAR- 2 to 5 years in fast paced venture backed startups, specifically including government adjacent work- Experience working with DoD partners, USG or IC components- Excellent communicator, adept at building lightweight process and adapting quickly to new information- Clear examples of contributions driving meaningful growth in revenue, hiring, process reduction or culture- Desired: active TS or TS/SCI, plus experience with industrial security programs, FSO responsibilities or facility access
