Head of Product

Woman-led Fintech Company

My startup client is a diverse, woman-led fintech company dedicated to helping small business owners thrive. Their platform has been well received by their first customers and they are now ready to continue to expand their reach and product. They've raised ~$9M in seed investment and are 17 people strong, this will be the first Product hire and will have the opportunity to lead their next stage of growth.

This role will head the Product team and be the owner of the product and customer experience on the leadership team. This is a remote position.

Qualifications:

  • You’re as excited about our mission to financially lift community businesses as we are
  • You thrive at delivering in a fast-paced, nebulous environments
  • 8+ years of Product Management or Product Design experience (non-negotiable)
  • Understand and love product data analytics and the related tools
  • A high-level technical understanding and interest in emerging technologies
  • Experience working in a remote team environment
  • Experience and deep understanding building for consumers (bonus: financial products)
  • Experience building and working in teams of missionaries, not mercenaries
  • Clear examples of building customer-centric products

Responsibilities:

  • Be intimately familiar with our customers, competitors, and usersOwn & understand the customer experience
  • Lead quantitative and qualitative initiatives to deeply understand opportunities and issues
  • Articulate, sell and evangelize a product vision and strategy
  • Work with designers, engineers, and customer success reps to understand product priorities
  • Leverage behavioral concepts to optimize user experiences
  • Translate the product vision into actionable plans and milestones
  • Maintain and use metrics and analytics to make informed decisions and obtain buy-in
  • Manage the product development lifecycle
  • Excel and managing and performing research
  • Lead the effort to build product that results in excellent customer outcomes
  • Understand & leverage the latest technology tools to build effectively
  • Instill and embody values of inclusiveness, transparent communication, value alignment, and upward mobility throughout the product group

Compensation: $200-250+ Base and Equity
