Our client, a company building large scale compute infrastructure for AI, is looking for a Staff Field Engineer for electrical systems.They acquire power, design and build data centers and operate them, accelerating toward 100 GW by the end of the decade, with operations running inside live construction zones. This role owns day to day operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the electrical stack in a live 24/7 environment. Base salary is $175,000 to $200,000 plus equity.Role & Responsibilities:- Own day to day operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the electrical stack- Operate and troubleshoot switchgear, generators, ATS and STS, UPS and PDUs hands on- Write and execute high risk electrical MOPs, managing contractors through them safely- Read one-lines and submittals well enough to catch problems in design review rather than in the field- Support commissioning and activation activity across sites- Raise operational standards and build technical readiness in the teams around youSkills & Experience:- Career built in electrical systems in mission critical environments, comfortable in a switchgear lineup and in a design review- Hands on operation and troubleshooting of the full electrical stack in live 24/7 environments- Track record writing and executing high risk electrical MOPs- Ability to interpret one-lines, submittals and sequences of operation- Bonus: hyperscale or large data center operations, NETA and NFPA 70E- Bonus: EPMS platforms, arc flash and electrical safety programs
