We're on the lookout for a competent engineer specializing in Windows software development and systems administration to become an integral part of our dynamic Platform Engineering team. This technical, hands-on role calls for an individual capable of thriving in a cross-functional engineering team, contributing to the backbone of our technology infrastructure within a lively, diverse, and team-oriented workspace.
As a vital part of the Platform Engineering team, you'll be tasked with the following:
- Overseeing the design and upkeep of our corporate operating systems, authentication systems, databases, and virtualization infrastructure.
- Handling key network services, messaging, and endpoints across Windows and Linux environments, both internally and externally.
- Assuming responsibility for the conceptualization, execution, and integration of infrastructure systems, with a primary focus on Windows-based systems.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Candidates should hold a degree in computer science or a related technical field, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
- Substantial experience in Windows software development and systems automation is crucial. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in C# or PowerShell; knowledge of Python and Rust will be considered a plus.
- Applicants must exhibit in-depth knowledge of the Windows platform and associated technologies, including Active Directory and Failover Clustering. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities are required, as well as familiarity with a range of tracing tools such as WireShark, ETW, and ProcMon. Experience with common Windows Server applications and management tools (e.g., Exchange, SQL, SCCM, Hyper-V, ADFS) will be given preference.
- Candidates should have a good grasp of network protocols, Linux, and information security principles. Experience in system integration across both on-site and cloud-based environments (like Azure, AWS, GCP) and familiarity with containers on Windows and Linux will be viewed favorably.
- Superb communication abilities are a must for this role, as it involves extensive interaction with diverse departments across the firm.
