NC - Electrical Testing Technician

Our client, a large national facilities and infrastructure services provider, is looking for an Electrical Field Test Technician at NETA Level 3 or equivalent, to join their Electrical Power Services team.The role covers safe and efficient installation and testing of electrical power distribution equipment for customers across an assigned territory, working both independently and with a crew. Level 3 and 4 technicians also coach, mentor, train and supervise Level 1 and 2 trainees and assistants. Pay is $60.00 to $75.00 per hour as a base rate, plus available paid overtime, with a comprehensive benefits package.Role & Responsibilities:- Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start up and collect data on electrical systems- Maintain, test, repair, rebuild and replace low, medium and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers- Test and inspect low, medium and high voltage cable installations, and maintain, test and repair transformers- Test and calibrate solid state and electromechanical relays, and perform relay calibration and power metering- Conduct low and medium voltage motor control centre and contactor testing, and troubleshoot automatic transfer switches- Supervise, guide and mentor trainees and assistant technicians, and own record keeping, test data evaluation and field service reportsSkills & Experience:- NETA Level 3 certification or equivalent field testing experience- Strong background in electrical power distribution testing and commissioning- Ability to evaluate test data and prepare clear field service reports- Experience coaching and supervising junior technicians on site- Familiarity with NETA acceptance and maintenance testing standards and NFPA 70E electrical safety- Willing to travel across the assigned territory and rotate emergency on call duty
